Not far from Mykulychyn there is a small village Vorokhta. That is a wonderful place with a beautiful architectural monument of the 17th century, there is the Church of the Nativity Mother of God. Not far from the village of Skhidnytsa you will find the historical and cultural reserve Tustan. This is a fortress, which is now under the protection of the state. This is a whole complex that performed many functions, the main of them was defensive. This fortress once protected the borders of Rus’ from enemies, and then the territory of Galicia-Volyn principality.
Ukrainian Carpathians are impossible without amazing lakes. One of these is the largest lake Synevyr, which is more than 10 thousand years old. It is located at an altitude of more than a thousand meters above sea level. Its depth is about twenty meters. This is one of the decorations and pearls of the amazing Carpathians.
Another unusual lake is located on the territory of the National Park Skole Beskydy near the village of Kamianka, in the Lviv region – Dead Lake. This is a mysterious place with dark water covered with tree branches. The lake is also called Cranberry because cranberries grow here.
There are many beautiful and incredible waterfalls in the Carpathians. Shypit waterfall is one of the most famous and beautiful. It is located at an altitude of more than 80 meters above the sea. Its height is 14 meters. This is a cascading waterfall, named so because of the characteristic sound of water that falls.
You will find another incredible waterfall 15 meters high in the Tatariv district of the Ivano-Frankivsk region. It is called Zhenecki Hook. It is quite popular among tourists because it is gorgeous and quite easy to get to the waterfall.
